This service is provided by the Alzheimer’s Society, it’s an opportunity to have a chat with people who have also been affected by Dementia in a relaxed and friendly environment. There are often talks from a variety of local services promoting safety and well-being.

This is an online community provided by Alzheimer’s Society for anyone who is affected by dementia; you can access this support and share experiences 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Alzheimer’s Society Carers Support Group is on the second Thursday of the month at Trinity Church Long Eaton from 2.00 – 4.00 pm.
This group is ONLY for people living with dementia and their carer, people wanting to attend must call the Alzheimer’s Society office first – Tel: 01332 208845

Midway Day Hospital provides psychotherapeutic therapy and assessments for people over the age of 65 living with functional mental health issues.
They have a ‘Living Well Programme’ which is offered to all people with a recent diagnosis of dementia, in the early stages of the condition. The programme is educational, aiming to provide practical advice and support, for you and your carer.
They also hold ‘Dementia Question and Answer Evenings’ which are held bi-monthly at the Midway Day Hospital, they are intended for anyone diagnosed with dementia, their Carers and also anyone with an interest in the condition. A team of professionals attend the question and answer evenings and can answer any questions you might have and provide support to you.
